Bangalore's Namma Metro Smart Card

Bangalore is known for slow-moving traffic, bad roads, crowded BMTC buses, and cabs surge pricing.

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. owned namma metro is another way to commute in the IT capital of the country, Bengaluru. Now we can buy namma metro smart cards online.

Though the user experience was not that great, it functionally works. I created an account and get the card after 10 days approximately.

As on date, there is a purple and green line active.

The timetable could be found here.

There is also an online fare calculator too. The do’s and don’t list in namma metro is quite useful too.

The team who manages and promotes the card really understands what the customer needs and introduced the 10x partners on travel, food and shopping category. I think I’m personally very loyal to this credit card and proud to make use of it too. How I Manage Multiple Credit Cards?

Getting my first credit card When I first applied for Credit Card in 2013, it was rejected saying I’m not over 23 to apply. Credit Card Application Rejection Due To Age As soon as I turned 23, on the same day I applied for my first credit from HDFC. It was an HDFC MoneyBack Credit Card, I had no clue on reward points, lounge access or Insurance. I just had it for the feeling of holding one.

TimesPrime Membership Program Review

Loyalty membership programs are becoming more popular in India. I believe this is because Indians are comfortable with a debit card than the credit cards. Usually, credit cards have loyalty programs well established when the volume is high. India had 36.2M credit cards, 846.7M debit cards in January 2018. This clearly shows that Indians love debit cards over credit cards. About TimesPrime TimePrime is a comprehensive membership program from Times Internet Limited (TIL). Times Internet is also India’s largest digital products company. Times Internet Limited Digital Products in India Background: Times also has TimePoints another loyalty program that has a co-branded credit card with HDFC, though I’m not sure how successful it is. Membership fee The membership fee is 999 INR per year and the membership is available only to Indians. There is also a 30 day free trial for everyone.
